BICHOLIM: A two-and-half-year-old male bison was found dead by the road side at Devgali Narve in Bicholim on Monday.
According to the available information, the people noticed the dead animal at Devgali in Narve and informed panch Prathiatha Mishal. Mishal informed the forest officials, who arrived at the spot.

Range Forest Officer, Vivek Naik and Round First Officer, Pradeep Sinari were present. Dr Rajesh Keni conducted the post-mortem which revealed ten wounds. Preliminary investigation revealed that the bison may have been shot dead.
Till late evening no one was arrested.
