PERNEM: Bisons have been making the lives of farmers in Tuem and Chiwaiwada Virnoda miserable by destroying their crops for the last two years. Irate ryots said that it was not the animal but government that has to be blamed for this destruction as they have failed to come with a solution to the issue.
“While the government is telling us to cultivate our land, it did nothing to protect our crops from being destroyed,” the farmers lamented.
“For the last two days, the Bisons have been entering our fields by jumping over the electric fence,” said the farmers.
Farmers further said they wanted the government to come up with a solution to the issue. “These animals should be caught and released in the forest so that we can peacefully cultivate our fields,” the farmers said.
