BJP appoints Maha ex-CM Fadnavis as poll in-charge

PANJIM: Ahead of 2022 Assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday appointed Maharashtra’s ex-Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis as the election in-charge for Goa. 

Union Minister G Kishan Reddy and MP Darshana Jardosh have been appointed as the co-in-charge for the ensuing elections in the State, as BJP Goa has already commenced campaigning to retain its power for the third consecutive time.

The party has hailed the move with Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant tweeting, “I welcome the appointment of Shri @Dev_Fadnavis as BJP’s Election Incharge in Goa, along with Shri @kishanreddybjp and Smt @DarshanaJardosh as co-incharge. Their guidance will further strengthen the party’s resolve & preparedness to win 22+ seats in 2022 assembly elections.” 

“We at @BJP4Goa welcome appointment of young & dynamic @Dev_Fadnavisji as #ElectionIncharge for oncoming #Goa elections. We are confident that under your able guidance, we will retain people’s trust to form absolute majority Government. 22+in 22,” former Panjim MLA and BJP spokesperson Sidharth Kuncalienkar also tweeted.

Besides Goa, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Manipur and Punjab are going to polls next year.
