PANJIM: The Bharatiya Janata Party state executive Friday said that the government has managed to put in place a functional administration to correct the state’s financial mismanagement.
The party in its first state executive committee meeting under the new president Vinay Tendulkar desired that government should come down heavily on ‘evildoers’ so as to wipe out the ‘menace’ of corruption affecting the administration by finding quicker ways and means to do so, as the “old habit of corrupt practices cultivated during the Congress regime still persists.”
The BJP admitted that “there is an understandable resentment among the people” about this.
In its political resolution, the party claimed that the government had delivered on most of the promises of financial assistance much ahead of time.
The party has blamed the “non-cooperative” attitude of the Union government in solving the mining issue.
The BJP also demanded that the Centre should come forward to give financial aid to the working class in the mining industry.
