PANJIM: The Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE) has asked the heads of all schools, affiliated to the Board, to submit information regarding students who are back to their native place and apprehend they would be deprived from answering the public exam to be held with short notice.

“It has been brought to the notice by the heads of the institutions that some students of their schools have migrated to their native place leaving Goa in view of coronavirus pandemic. Subsequently, in view of lockdown, the borders of neighbouring States were sealed. Now there is fear and anxiety in the minds of the students that they will be deprived of appearing for public exam to be held with short notice by Goa Board in the State due to the prevailing circumstance,” the note circulated to the heads of secondary and higher secondary schools reads.
The information of such students is required for further submission to government for grant of relaxation in movement or entering Goa to facilitate these candidates to appear for examination. As such, the GBSHSE has sought for the details by April 24.
