MAPUSA: Shri Bodgeshwar Xetkari Committee along with Tenants Association protested against the alleged demolition of cowshed of Dhangar community, at Dhangarwadi-Kasarwane, Pernem, on Monday.
The committee informed that they have come to know from the reliable sources that the government authorities have planned to demolish cowshed structure of Dhangar community which was rehabilitated from the Mopa Airport site.
The committee said that the authorities have alleged that the said structures are illegal and have scheduled demolition on Tuesday.
The committee also mentioned that they will protest and will not allow the authorities to demolish the cow and goat sheds since the government itself have allotted space for these sheds and now claiming it as illegal.
Meanwhile, the committee alleged that the houses given to the 14 families, which are rehabilitated from the airport site, are of inferior quality and cause leakage during the rains as well as have obtained cracks.
