VALPOI: A body was fished out from Mhadei River at Bhironda village, in Sattari.
Valpoi police identified the body as that of one Ramnath Thanekar, from Gholkarwada in Khotodem
Thanekar was married and was working as a daily wage labourer.
He was an alcoholic and was missing for the last three days. He was very irregular in coming home, as such, his family didn’t complain after he went missing.
Valpoi police registered the case as unnatural death and the body has been sent for post mortem. Valpoi Police Inspector Deepak Pednekar is investigating the case.
