The team of local police and railway police personnel conducted a search of the Margao railway platforms. The squad also searched the trains that made a halt at the Margao railway station on Wednesday evening.
The ATS and BDS, besides personnel of the Konkan Railway police station were kept on their toes after the KR station manager Shansika Bende informed Margao police around noon that she is in receipt of a letter through post on December 3 at 2 pm stating a bomb would be kept at KRC’s railway stations in Goa from December 2-3.
Not taking the threat lightly, the police immediately swung into action and informed the Control Room which despatched sniffer dogs, bomb disposal squad to the Margao station. Konkan railway police station in-charge, PI Santosh Desai said the police carried out detailed search of all the railway stations in Goa as a precautionary measure.
