Bombay High Court Grants Conditional Bail to Saurabh Sahni in Viral Video Case

The Bombay High Court at Goa on Wednesday granted conditional bail to Saurabh Sahni from Uttar Pradesh, who had been arrested by the Crime Branch Goa Police in connection with a viral video case involving a foreign national.

Sahni was arrested on April 15, 2026, under Crime No. 35/2026 for offences registered under Sections 75, 79, 144(2) read with 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, along with Sections 67 and 67A of the Information Technology Act, 2000.

The case pertains to the alleged uploading of a video showing a foreign woman being harassed by Indian tourists, reportedly for immoral purposes.

The conditional bail order was passed by Justice Jitendra Jain.

Senior Advocate Carlos Álvares Ferreira, along with Advocates Galileo Teles and Nehal Govekar, appeared on behalf of Saurabh Sahni, while Additional Public Prosecutor Swati Kamat Wagh represented the State.
