BICHOLIM: The road in Bordem Bicholim has developed potholes within a month after it was hot-mixed with the public questioning the quality of work done by the contractor.
Before the monsoon, the government spent Rs 17 lakh on hot-mixing of the road at Bordem. The work was done on May 25 and within a month’s time the road developed potholes.
The public came down heavily on the MLA and the contractor for the poor quality of work and some of them called it an eyewash. Social media was flooded with photos and comments. What fuelled the fire was the fact that when the road was being made there were some photos of local MLA Rajesh Patnekar at the site.
Most of them felt that the work of the road should not have been taken up just before the monsoon. Some also felt that there is a need to come on streets against this situation.
