CANACONA: In separate cases in the same area, Canacona police have registered offences against a boy, Konaya, for attacking people with swords and sticks and abusing the victims.
In the first case, based on a complaint filed by Hilary Fernandes (34) resident of Palolem, Canacona Police registered offences under Sections 452, 324, 506 (ii), 504 of IPC against Konaya for criminally trespassing into the complainant’s house and assaulting the latter with a sword, thereby causing injuries to his finger and elbow. He further threatened the complainant and his family members with dire consequences and verbally abused them.
In the second complaint filed by Nepali native Bahadur Upreti, Canacona police registered offences under Section 324 read with 34 of IPC against Konaya for assaulting the complainant and one Mahadev Naik with his hands and a stick when they were on their way to their staff room. Further investigation is in progress.
