Boy goes missing in Canacona, but found at home

CANACONA: Canacona's weekly Saturday bazaar was hit by a kidnapping scare after a 9-yr-old boy was reported missing from the market and the matter was laid to rest when the boy was later traced to his house in Gaondongrim village.

CANACONA: Canacona’s weekly Saturday bazaar was hit by a kidnapping scare after a 9-yr-old boy was reported missing from the market and the matter was laid to rest when the boy was later traced to his house in Gaondongrim village.
According to sources, two women raised an alarm that the boy had been kidnapped by an unknown person at about 12.45 pm from the weekly Saturday bazaar at Chaudi. It was also reported that the boy was seen walking with a middle-aged man, fuelling further speculation that the boy may have been kidnapped.
As the news spread across the market, some locals and a few policemen on duty at Chaudi launched a frantic search for the missing boy and the alleged kidnapper.
Enquires at the police station also revealed that there was a commotion at the weekly bazaar in the afternoon.
The missing boy was later found at his house after having boarded a bus from Chaudi and proceeding to his home in Gaondongrim village.
