MAPUSA: Calangute police arrested two brothers, Cipriano Heredia and Rocky Heredia from Divar in attempt to murder Rohan Bhanudas Simepurushkar from Khobrawado, Calangute.
The incident took place on Thursday night at Baga, when the victim had come to assault Rocky, but his brother Cipriano attacked Rohan and stabbed him in the stomach.
During investigation it was revealed that the two accused and the victim were enemies and had fought on an earlier occasion.
The brothers fled from the scene, but were arrested by police under section 323, 307 r/w 34 of IPC.
Police informed that the victim was currently undergoing treatment at Goa Medical College, Bambolim.
The brothers were later produced before the JMFC court Mapusa, who remanded them to five days police custody. PSI Girish Padloskar is further investigating the case.
