PORVORIM: Hundreds of BSNL lines at the Porvorim telephone exchange were disrupted on Wednesday night, following a snag in the optical cable.
According to a BSNL official, the telephone lines went down at about 8 pm following a damage in the main optical cable.
Incidentally, BSNL subscribers were also unable to complain about their faulty telephone line as the entire BSNL telephone network in Porvorim had gone dead.
Efforts were on to locate the damaged cable and BSNL workers were working on a war-footing to restore the disrupted telephone network.
Incidentally, a part of Porvorim also went without power supply at around the same.
time and residents were unable to contact the electricity department as its BSNL telephone line was also out of order.
