PANJIM: The State cabinet on Tuesday accorded its approval for summoning of Budget Session of the Goa State Legislative Assembly from March 27.
The one-week long Budget session will see the Chief Minister Pramod Sawant tabling financial statement for the year 2023-24 and thereafter taking Vote on Account.
The Budget would be passed during the Monsoon session.
“One-week long budget session will commence from March 27,” Sawant told media persons post cabinet meeting.
The meeting also resolved to allocate government land to four village panchayats from Sattari taluka for setting up Material Recovery Facility (MRF).
The Cabinet sanctioned appointment of Private Secretary and Personal Assistance to the Speaker of the Goa Legislative Assembly, thereby taking the total staff strength to 18 in par with Cabinet Ministers.
