PANJIM: A bus conductor showed exemplary presence of mind when the bus driver felt uneasy, averting a major accident near the multi-level parking at Patto during the peak hours of Tuesday morning.
PI Brendan D’Souza said the bus was in motion when the conductor noticed that the driver was not feeling too well and immediately switched off the engine, saving the lives of at least 30 passengers. “Our traffic personnel were regulating traffic around the jurisdiction. They rushed to the spot and called up 108 Ambulance. The driver was shifted to the hospital,” he said further.
