VASCO: Vasco MLA Carlos Almeida on Thursday inaugurated the new KTC shuttle service bus stand near T B Cunha Square Vasco in the presence of Mormugao Municipal Council (MMC) Chairperson Sumita Usgaokar, Councillor Lavina D’Souza, KTC officials and BJP workers.
Almeida said the shifting of KTC shuttle service bus stand will decongest city bus stand near the fish market. “I am also in the process of shifting all the city buses at T B Cunha Square so that I can rehabilitate the fish vendors from the Vasco fish market at the time of construction of the new fish market,” he added.
When asked about the status of KTC bus stand at Mundevell-Vasco, he said he will construct an ultra-modern bus stand which will house government offices, shopping complex, open space for children to play and other amenities. He said the work will start by October next year.
