PANJIM: The State cabinet has approved the Goa Land Revenue (Issuance of Identification and Corresponding Certificate) Rules, 2017 for issue of identification certificate for survey numbers and corresponding certificates in respect of survey records.
“It will resolve the issues of disputed property as far as identifying survey numbers are concerned in order to carry out mutation and partition,” Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar said after the cabinet meeting on Wednesday.
With the cabinet approving the rules, Parrikar said it would come into force after they are notified.
Revenue Department had earlier invited objections and suggestions to the rules “so that they may be taken into consideration at the time of finalisation of the proposed rules”. Three areas including site inspection and inspection report, issuance of identification certificate and issuance of corresponding certificate among other sections are covered in the Rules 2017.
