CALANGUTE: Land users at Calangute Saturday market at Naikka Vaddo, Calangute, have agreed to abide by the terms of Calangute Comunidade to use the land at Saturday market on weekly basis by paying the necessary fees.
In a bid to settle the issue of locals using the comunidade land at Naikka Vaddo, the managing committee of Calangute Comunidade had invited the land users for a meeting in the administrative office situated in St Alex Church compound, Calangute.
The occupants were directed to give a declaration stating that they would abide by the terms laid down by Calangute Comunidade to use the land at Saturday market on weekly basis by paying the necessary fees. The decision was accepted by the land users at Calangute Saturday market.
Speaking to Herald, Calangute Comunidade President Agostinho Proenca said, “The meeting was attended by 30 occupants, who gave a declaration to carry on their business by paying nominal fees
