Police and school yet to get FDA report on meals served at school

CANACONA: While the Canacona Police and the school management of Shri Mallikarjun Vidyalaya are yet to get a FDA report on the contamination of mid-day meals supplied to the students of the school, various theories are being floated in Canacona over the source of the contamination.
When contacted, Canacona PI Harischandra Madkaikar said there is no further progress in the investigation of food poisoning incident at Mallikarjun School as they are still waiting for the FDA findings on alleged contamination of meals supplied by Omkar Mahila Mandal.
“We have learnt through newspapers about the FDA findings, but we are yet to officially receive the FDA report,” Madkaikar told Herald.
A similar view was offered by Anand Dessai, president of the Centro Promoter de Instrucao (CPI), the school’s management.
“It has come on different papers, but we are yet to get it. Let the report come officially to us, then we will talk about it,” he said.
Interestingly, divergent views were being echoed in different circles in Canacona over the FDA findings of contamination of mid-day meals supplied by OMM to students of Shri Mallikarjun Vidyalaya, Canacona.
Some claimed that the FDA had confirmed E Coli contamination in the bhaji, while others said E Coli contamination was found in bhaji and also the bread. Others claimed that the E Coli was found only in the bread and that was the reason why FDA officials had visited a local bakery from where the bread was obtained.
