A 45-year-old man from Vaddy-Candolim, who was seriously injured in a self-accident at Guirim on Monday night, succumbed to injuries at GMC Hospital in Bambolim on Tuesday night.
The incident occurred when Silvester Fernandes was returning home from Pernem on his Honda Eterno scooter. On reaching Guirim bypass at about 9.30 pm, the deceased rammed into a stationary truck.
The injured scooterist was rushed to Asilo Hospital in Mapusa, from where he was referred to GMC Hospital, where he succumbed on Tuesday morning.
