VASCO: The gram sabha of Cansaulim Arrossim Cuelim (CAC) panchayat is expected to be stormy, as the villagers are gearing up to corner the panchayat on various issues, and most importantly for keeping on hold the transfer of Secretary Pradeep Tamhankar.
The Director of Panchayat issued transfer order to Tamhankar and the BDO has issued relieving orders. However, before the secretary could be relieved, the decision was kept on hold under mysterious circumstances.
According to the villagers, Tamhankar was transferred and posted at Mormugao BDO office. However, the relieving order of BDO was kept on hold without issuing the same to Tamhankar for reasons best known to the BDO.
The mysterious action of the BDO has left the villagers disappointed and agitated and as such, they have now decided to take up the issue very aggressively in the gram sabha on Sunday.
