VASCO: The Verna police on Wednesday arrested 18-year-old Mohammed Hussain Shaikh, a resident of Cansaulim on the charge of raping a minor girl.
According to the police, the victim’s mother filed a complaint on Tuesday night stating that the accused sexually assaulted her minor daughter in December last and that the victim was now nine weeks pregnant. Following a complaint, the Verna police arrested Mohammed Shaikh.
