A show-cause notice along with a stop-work order has been issued for a proposed residential-cum-commercial project at Carambolim village in Tiswadi. The order pertains to the construction of a building, swimming pool and compound wall at the site. Officials said the action followed a joint site inspection conducted after authorities received a formal representation highlighting alleged violations. During the inspection, several issues related to site conditions and compliance with applicable norms were recorded. Based on these findings, the planning department directed that all construction activities at the project site be halted with immediate effect. The stop-work order will remain in force until further instructions are issued by the competent authority, said Town and Country Planning Minister Vishwajit Rane.
