It was an auspicious day on Tuesday for the Ramponkars of Caranzalem, who participated in Mass and received blessings from the priest on themselves and their boats and fishing gear ahead of the fishing season. The fishing ban will be lifted in just a few days. The first 10 boats will be blessed and the ramponkars will decide when to venture into the sea in turns.
