BICHOLIM: Unknown persons effected entry into the Deendayal Nagari Sahakari Patsanstha’s head office premises in Bicholim on Tuesday by breaking open the window grills and decamped with Rs 4,000 in cash.
Later, the culprits also damaged the CCTV cameras. However, they failed to break the safe.
According to Bicholim Police, the manager Vishwas Gaonkar in his complaint stated that culprits stole Rs 2,500 from the office and Rs 1,500 from the drawer of Deendayal Ayurvedic Clinic besides breaking the CCTV cameras.
Police said thieves failed to break the safe. Bicholim Police are investigating.

Meanwhile, Bicholim locals have demanded that the police intensify night patrolling to avoid such thefts in the town.
