CANACONA: A cashier of a credit cooperative society at Bhatpal was booked for allegedly cheating the society of Rs 11.36 lakh.
According to the complainant Savita Talwade, Chairperson of Mahila Urban Cooperative Society, the cashier cheated the society of Rs 11.36 lakh. The offence took place between 2014 and2017.
Canacona police have registered a case of cheating and criminal breach of trust under Sections 420 and 409 of the IPC against the official.
PSI Dhiraj Devidas is investigating the case under the guidance of PI Rajendra Prabhudesai.
