PANJIM: Goa Praja Party (GPP) President Pandurang Raut on Monday said it was Congress leader Francisco Sardinha, who as Chief Minister backed by the BJP, had initiated the casino culture in Goa. “There is a misconception that Congress had started the casino culture, it was the former Congress Chief Minister Francisco Sardinha backed by the BJP who had formally started the gambling culture in the State,” Raut said.
