CB plea against Diggu’s bail adjourned

PANJIM: In yet another disappointment for the Crime Branch, its application seeking cancellation of anticipatory bail granted to former chief minister Digambar Kamat was adjourned for the ninth time on Tuesday.

The final hearing, which was expected to be held on Tuesday, is now expected to take place on March 30.
CB, in October 2015, had filed a Special Leave petition (SLP) before the Supreme Court seeking cancellation of Kamat’s anticipatory bail, only to see it adjourned with just one hearing so far.
In September 2015 CB had filed an indictment against seven persons including former PWD minister Churchill Alemao and ex-JICA project director Anand Wachasundar.
