CURCHOREM: Reacting to a news report in Herald with regards to the increasing rising stray dog menace in Curchorem town, Curchorem-Cacora Municipal Council (CCMC) chairman Balkrishna (Pinty) Hodarkar assured to take up the matter at the council meeting scheduled on October 23.
“I will take up this matter at the council meeting and if necessary we would even take the services of local Animal Care Centre to control the growing stray dogs menace.
Meanwhile, according to Goa Mission Rabies project officer Julie, they completed Mission Rabies in Quepem taluka in September 2018 and had vaccinated around 6436 dogs.
“We had vaccinated 6436 stray dogs in Quepem taluka including 1442 in Curchorem municipal area,” Julie informed and added they would visit Quepem taluka again by October-end for re-vaccination of dogs.
