CURCHOREM: Curchorem-Cacora Municipal Council (CCMC) has issued a show cause notice to the trader from SUDA market asking him to justify the allegations he had made against the councillors and the staff of the council.
It may be recalled that when CCMC launched an anti-encroachment drive on July 29, the trader made allegations against the councillors and staff claiming that the drives conducted by CCMC to remove illegal encroachment on the passages are only to raise their ‘hafta’ amount and that municipal staff are helping the vendors to resurface again at the same place.
Later, at the emergency meeting, it was decided to issue a show cause notice to the person who made the allegations.
CCMC has asked the trader to justify the statement within seven days alog with the documentary evidence against the councillors and staff of CCMC.
The trader who made the allegations now has seven days to file his reply to the show cause notice.
