PANJIM: The Corporation of the City of Panaji has decided that film shootings would be allowed on city’s main roads only on Saturdays, Sundays and Public holidays and on internal roads shootings would only be allowed after inspection.
CCP’s just finalized guidelines for film shootings within its jurisdiction state that any blockage of roads will only be done with the express consent of and in coordination with the traffic police.
The guidelines also expressly state that the privacy of private residents around the film shooting should not be disturbed nor should there be any trespassing into private property without express consent.
The guidelines also state that parking should be only below the Mandovi Bridge, service road in front of old GMC building and the lane adjacent to Garcia de Orta Garden at Church square.
Meanwhile, the agency that arranged bouncers during the shooting of the film ‘Mango’ has been booked for assaulting activist and doctor Oscar Rebello.
A complaint has been received from the authorities that companies employ bouncers for these shoots from unregistered agencies thus making it difficult for authorities to keep an eye on them.
