MMC Chairperson Gonzaco Rebello, vice-Chairperson Dadi Mayenkar, three councillors, besides citizens Gunaji Desai and Savio Coutinho are part of the cell.
The cell on Monday reviewed the situation even as GSUDA consultant Gaurav Pokle explained to the members how to go about the work, while laying stress on awareness amongst the citizens. He told the members that the MMC would receive 25,000 bins each for collection of dry and wet waste for distribution to the households.
Savio Coutinho told the media after the meeting that the cell will hold separate meetings with the stakeholders, besides the households to ensure success of the programme. “We will call each stakeholder everyday for meeting to seek their cooperation as the civic body is going ahead with the door-to-door project implementation from July 22,” Coutinho added.
