PANJIM: The Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) has sanctioned 2,209 houses for the “urban poor” in the State in the last three years, out of which 1,604 houses have been completed and delivered to the beneficiaries.
This has been done under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Urban (PMAY-U) Scheme; wherein the identification of eligible beneficiaries and implementation of projects are done by the State/Union Territory (UT) governments concerned through their implementing agencies.
