MARGAO: The Chandor-Cavorim Panchayat at the extraordinary gram sabha on Sunday constituted the Village Development Committee (VDC) with a provision to include members of the standing and other committees as and when they are constituted.
Besides the seven members of the panchayat, 13 other villagers were appointed on the Village Development Committee and most of the villagers were named by the panchayat members.
However, as the panchayat has not constituted the standing committees as yet, it was also resolved that members of the three standing committees along with members of the Biodiversity Committee and Garbage Management Committee would also be members of the VDC.
