Chinmaya Mission plans to start school in Goa

Chinmaya Mission, an international spiritual organization is planning to have its school in Goa, which will blend the modern education with India’s ancestral wisdom.
 “School students are not mentally fit to accept the failure. Hence we are coming across increasing incidents of suicides and crimes. The violence in the school campus is alarming,” Shubhalakshmi Naik, member of Chinmaya Mission, Panaji center said.
She said that the school will help the younger generation to grow positively and be a good citizen.
 “Till date over 10 lakhs students have gained knowledge through the education institutions of the mission all over the world,” Naik stated.
President of the Chinmaya Mission, Panaji unit, Shrinivas Dempo confirmed that the Mission is yet to get a suitable land for setting up of school.
 “We are scouting for a land. We have approached to several organizations over the matter,” he told reporters.
Dempo announced that the Panaji unit of the Mission is in the process of establishing its Ashram at Taleigao, which will be functional before the end of this calendar year.
“At the Ashram, the center will be conducting regular activities for all age group people,” he said.
Chinmaya Mission, which has over 250 centers in India and 75 centers abroad, was founded by Swami Chinmayanandaji.
Since its Panaji center establishment in 1994, it has been conducting regular Gnana Yagna’s for the benefit of the general public.
This year too, the Mission is organizing its annual geeta gnana yagna from July 26 to August 1 on the topic ‘know your mind’. The gathering will be addressed by Swamini Amitanandaji.
The gathering will also have evening discourses from July 27.
