SANGUEM: Citizens from Sanguem, led by Anthony Colaco complained to the health officer at the Primary Health Centre, Sanguem of the prevailing unhygienic conditions in the Sanguem Municipal area and urged for immediate action to initiate discipline among the establishment owners.
Armed with a series of photograph taken during the day, locals presented a representation letter to the health officer, who assured the delegation of looking into the matter and taking remedial action against those involved in causing nuisance at public places.
They informed that on any given day heaps of paper and other waste material were scattered all over market places in Sanguem. The unhygienic conditions at some eateries in the town area where flies were seen on the food items kept for sale, were also highlighted.
