It appears like another ‘Sonsoddo’ is in the making as garbage lies accumulated along the Eastern Bypass from Power House to Bolshe Circle.
Garbage, which has been piled up along the entire stretch of the bypass, lies uncollected. Very often I have seen people in their luxury cars and some on their two-wheelers dump garbage along the stretch. These are the ones who lack civic sense but the general public especially the common man is forced to bear the stench emanating from the waste piled up along the stretch.
Garbage needs to be dumped into the bins provided at specific points. The sides of the road are meant for pedestrians and not for dumping garbage. Domestic tourists visiting the state too are involved in such acts as they just throw empty beer cans, bottles, plastic bottles, plastic bags, wrappers, paper plates, plastic tea cups etc. along the stretch.
If no steps are taken by the concerned authorities to stop garbage being dumped here, then there is every possibility that this place could soon turn out to be another Sonsoddo.
