Commuters are made to suffer daily on account of the bad condition of the potholed Cotta-Chandor road. The road from the church junction to Cotta Bridge has developed potholes and due to this many accidents have occurred resulting in injuries to several motorists. However, our government has turned a blind eye to the bad road condition.
The concerned authority as a temporary solution fills the potholes with mud and stones only to be washed away following heavy downpour. But we locals need a permanent solution so that our lives can be saved. We have been facing this problem for many years. The government and PWD Minister have been giving us empty promises time and time again. If the minister is unable to provide pothole-free roads then he should resign. Hope the department commences the work to ensure public safety.
I request our MLA C Dias, CM, PWD Minister and the department and Chandor Cavorim panchayat to look into this matter and fill the potholes with concrete and hotmix the road after monsoon.
