A drain adjacent to Abubakar plaza at Panditwada in Ponda has been noticed in a choked condition. Waste water has remained stagnated which in turn causes inconvenience and trouble for travellers and pedestrians proceeding along this location.
The situation is extremely unhygienic to precious human lives. In case the drain is not cleared at once, it may even result in a health hazard and spreading of a serious disease in the near future. Even the concrete slabs that were supposed to be placed over this drain have been noticed in a neglected condition.
It is time for the concerned competent authorities to inspect this spot on priority basis and initiate immediate favourable action in clearing the choked drain at once so that hygienic conditions are assured to one and all. Let us hope that needful would be done at the earliest in public interest.
