A transformer existing along the Tisk-Dhavali route in Ponda has been noticed in an exposed condition since quite long. The location is in the vicinity of Sambari Residency Complex.
Above situation proves dangerous for the lives of innocent pedestrians proceeding along this route. In case, the pedestrians happen to come in contact with the live electrical wires located inside this transformer they are likely to receive an electric shock thereby leading to adverse consequences.
A person may even lose his precious life on the spot. It is but sure that linesmen of the Electricity Department deputed at this location have failed to report this serious matter to their superiors. Hence, no favourable action has come to the forefront.
It is absolutely necessary that safety is assured to innocent pedestrians at the earliest without any further delay. As on July 31, the situation in this matter was found to be the same.
I sincerely request the higher officials at the Electricity Department in Ponda to provide necessary covering for this exposed transformer on priority basis before any tragedy takes place sooner or later. Swift positive action would indeed be appreciated by public at large.
