Although the Electricity Department has a maintenance section, the same falls short in rectifying defects of various sorts at the appropriate time. Various errors with regards to the electricity poles remain unattended for a long time. Ultimately, the public are inconvenienced and troubled in the process. Seen in the photo is a LED fixture totally covered by tree branches. Due to such situation, road illumination gets hampered at night. The location is adjacent to the Madgaum Urban Co-operative Bank Ltd at Kaziwada, Ponda. The situation remained unchanged. I request the Electricity Department officials in Ponda to take a note of the matter and chop off the tree branches to ensure proper illumination along the stretch. Commuters should be assured necessary relief on a permanent basis.
