Recently a number of illegal structures are popping up everywhere. Who is responsible for investigating and having them removed?
Picture depicted is of recent (three/four months) illegal structure at the corner of the road near park on the inner Caranzalem/Dona Paula road. This normally operates as a vegetable shop which is not required as this road has sufficient vegetable shops along the road.
This structure imposes a road hazard. Namely, being on the road corner, it acts as a blind spot for the vehicles turning in and out of the road. Secondly, it has narrowed down the access of the road, whereby, making it dangerous for pedestrians.
This illegal structure needs to be removed immediately. The necessary department or body needs to investigate and remove this ugly sight. Action is required urgently. The people of Goa should play an active role in reporting illegal structures so that they can be demolished and Goa kept clean.
