This transformer existing along the road leading from Tisk towards ID Hospital in Ponda lies in an exposed condition on most occasions. Such a dangerous situation poses great risk for innocent pedestrians as also stray cattle. In case minor children happen to touch live electrical wires, they are likely to receive an electric shock thereby leading to adverse consequences. As on Friday March 24 at 4:00 pm, situation in this regard remained stagnant.
It is time for the higher officials at the Electricity Department in Ponda to levy a sympathetic consideration to this serious matter and introduce suitable locking system for transformers situated in different locations so that safety is assured to precious human lives.
Prompt favourable action would indeed be appreciated by one and all.
