Tactiles are a special type of paving which provide essential cues to help the visually impaired/ blind pedestrians to navigate footpaths safely and confidently.
One wonders if the tactiles provided on the new footpaths of our smart Panjim city are meant for that purpose. These newly paved footpaths are hazardous even for a normal person with a clear vision, leave alone the specially abled or senior citizens.
