In Citizen Herald last Monday (Feb. 6) under “Margao Logged in” the lawlessness prevailing in Margao where owners of commercial establishments had dared to place tree logs in front of their shops within the designated two-wheeler parking areas to prevent public from parking vehicles in front of their shops.
Thanks to Citizen Herald, these logs were removed and the parking area restored for two-wheelers upon publishing the report.
I request the MMC Chairperson to personally take a round on the streets of Margao town to prevent shop keepers from placing soft drink crates, stones or other obstacles in front of their shops considering the acute problem of parking space in Margao. Shopkeepers need to instill in them a civic responsibility instead of a selfish one.
