Is the worst tragedy awaited?

I overheard a citizen, saying “avoiss Saiba, hem kitem re” when he was looking at a triangular building right in the heart of a prime locality in Panjim. The building happens to be the old Institute of Instruction or Matmo High School as was known in which I myself studied.
The building is now fully covered with thick tarpaulin sheets to cover the worn out cement slabs from falling down from this dilapidated building, where one Glemar Lodge and other establishments are located, besides shops on the ground floor and thousands and thousands of vehicles and people pass by unaware of the precarious state of the building. It sends shivers down one’s spine, but to move in the vicinity of this building has become unavoidable as many run their businesses and earn their daily bread here.
Of late, the CCP had surveyed some old and dilapidated buildings but this one is in the worst condition and is situated right in the middle of a city posing danger to people. There can also be a calamity in case of a natural calamity. The Government has to make safety arrangements, and put boards cautioning the public, divert movement of vehicles and save people from this impending tragedy. What is the Government doing for so long?
Is it only playing politics and keeping the tarpaulin decorated dilapidated building as a tourist attraction? Listen to people’s voices and relieve them from fear, please !
