I do appreciate the work carried out by the government with regards to building new flyovers and bypass roads.
But before starting new projects why existing roads and bypass roads are not complete with proper infrastructure and are open for traffic causing accidents and inconvenience to common people? No streetlights, no road dividers, no footpaths, no emergency road space on side of the roads for ambulance and police in case of accidents, no proper service roads for people to pass with their vehicles below new flyover construction, no proper drainage system on existing roads, no proper planning at all.
Don’t these MLAs, sarpanch and government bodies pass through these roads with their vehicles and open their eyes and see or are they sleeping in their cars while travelling or they just ignore.
My humble request to the government officials, let there be lights on the roads lit all night long, install road dividers which are very important to have one-way traffic to avoid head-on collisions, let there be police visible on roads especially during nights in case of emergencies. Above all, do not open road for traffic until roads are fully completed as per the safety standards.
If these things are in place we can avoid a lot of accidents and robberies in our small State of Goa, cause every life counts.
