This deep crater (in the picture) and others like it are death traps for the motorists, especially two wheeler riders.
These are the results of the shoddy work done by the utility providers who have unevenly cut up all the roads in the city and towns and closed up the trenches with cement which has cracked in no time. How does the PWD let such destruction of roads and make the offenders not accountable?
Rains are long gone and the hot-mixing of all roads should have been undertaken, more so since IFFI is round the bend and the tourist season is in full swing.
What occasion is the government waiting for to take up re-laying of all roads along with repairs of footpaths and side-walks?
And why should the DB Marg be the only one repaired and spruced up? Doesn’t the Goan public pay the taxes and should they not be the beneficiaries of good motorable roads?
