The highway from Margao to Ponda, specially at Raia-Borim stretch is worse than any remote village road and certainly not fit for vehicular traffic.
Yet each day motorists struggle on this muddy road, driving with caution and high stress, as they maneuver through endless potholes and slush. Of course, the road is ideal for the thrill of off-track racing.
Several accidents have been reported, but authorities are not bothered.
The entire stretch is in a bad shape and needs urgent attention, as due to rains it has become worse with huge pot holes which can be death traps, damages vehicle and it creates lot of dust around the vicinity.
On behalf of innumerable road users who have no option but to trudge on helplessly I request concerned authorities to take action and tar the road immediately and give relief to motorists. I am sure that Herald impact will be seen soon, as it has been over three months that the road is in worsening condition, forcing honest taxpayers with daily hardships.
